“A close proximity to main roads, quality schools, large hospitals and impressive parks... Esenyurt is growing more and more. Not an old area but Esenyurt is offering so much to its residents. Let’s take a closer look into the region and discover what’s hidden!”
Located in the Thrace region of Istanbul, Esenyurt district neighbours Buyukcekmece, Avcilar, Basaksehir and Beylikduzu districts. A road linking the E-5 highway and TEM (E-6) Highway passes through Esenyurt and divides the district into two. Having a surface area of 57 km2, the district gained the status of municipality in 1989 thanks to its growing population. With a population of 846, 492 people, the district has approximately forty-three neighbourhoods as of 2015.
Esenyurt is easily accessible from many parts of Istanbul thanks to the E-5 and TEM Highways passing through the district. The area, where public transportation is really well-organized, can easily visited by buses arriving from central locations (e.g., bus numbers 76E, E58 and E57). Central areas such as Bakirkoy and Taksim can be reached through the D-100 road or it is easy to travel to these areas by public buses. In addition, with a short minibus journey, it’s possible to reach the districts around such as Buyukcekmece, Beylikduzu and Avcilar. Travelling around the district will be more comfortable with metrobus and a metro project planned to be implemented in the near future. Surely, metrobus and soon-to-be-completed metro project will relieve the transportation.
